I Tried Aura Health App For 180 Days - Aura Health Review

An in-depth Aura meditation app review on my blog, highlighting its unique features and benefits for mindfulness practitioners.

MORE THAN JUST A MEDITATION APP?

For anyone interested in improving mental well-being, getting a meditation app like Aura seems like an excellent idea.

But is it actually useful for reducing stress and creating a more peaceful life?

Now after using it pretty much daily for the past 6 months, to save you time and possibly money, I will give you as in-depth Aura meditation app review as I possibly can, diving deep into its pros and cons, who would benefit from it the most, for who it could be totally useless, and also what’s the absolute best way to use it.

IMPORTANT FEATURES & MY STARTING POINT (DAYS 1-60)

When I first opened the app, it felt like discovering a gold mine. The variety of content is insane. They have everything related to improving well-being, spirituality, mental strength, like it's everything there. Whether you are already an experienced spiritual teacher or somebody who has never even heard of meditation before, they have a lot of valuable stuff for you.

During the first weeks of using it, I exposed myself to a lot of different things. What I found the best for me, or my favorites, were Meditation, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and then Life Coaching. But there are still so many that I haven't even tried.

What I like so much about this app is that they don't have this overemphasis on just relaxation. They understand that mental well-being is so big and a large thing that you cannot just focus on one thing all the time and pretend that that will fix everything.

The tracks range from two hours to quick three-minute sessions. And if you don't have even that, listening to calming music or sound therapy is an excellent way to relax, and feel calm when you are, for example, working or doing house chores.

USER-FRIENDLY OR NOT?

Something I realized quite early on was that the personalized suggestion system isn't incredible, at least yet. It's sometimes a little bit lost. For example, I got this meditation for pregnant ladies one time lol. But on YouTube as well I get really random videos suggested sometimes, so you cannot always get it right, whatever you are using.

They have this five-minute quiz when you sign up, and I think that that actually helps a little bit to know what are your needs and preferences. But don't worry about this, I have a VERY exciting solution to this that I will explain later in this post.

But other than that, the app is really easy to use, so even if you are not really a tech-savvy person, you can easily personalize the interface to make it really easy and fast to find the right tracks and meditations for your needs.

One very small technical detail but still one of the biggest pros for me is that it's great for sensitive people. My hearing is very sensitive to sounds and on this app, you can change the music type, volume of the music behind the guided meditation, and even the sound effects. You can choose and personalize everything how you want them to be.

Unfortunately, some creators still put their own music in the tracks. This is sometimes frustrating and I think that Aura Health app should have this policy that the content that is uploaded on the platform cannot have any music on the background. Luckily this is a very small minority, and like 90% of the content on the platform is uploaded music-free (meaning you can choose it), so it's not really a deal-breaker.

AURA PROS AND CONS (DAYS 61-120)

At this point, I started to use it pretty much every morning and also sometimes before going to bed. The big reason why I wanted to give so much attention to it was because the content is so professional.

There are so many great coaches and experts on the platform, and still at this point, I haven't come across somebody who I wouldn't consider good. I'm not at all surprised by the happy reviews it has (4,7 rating from 30,000 reviews on AppStore). And even my subscriber Rosemary contacted me to say: I’ve been using Aura for the past month and think it is FABULOUS!. So clearly, I'm not the only one who thinks the content is amazing!

But something I have to say is that it's not a quick and easy fix to any mental problem or stressful lifestyle. If you go to use an app like this with the unrealistic expectation that this will fix everything like “I will do this for four days and all my problems will go away,” I think you cannot get really benefits from it. It's kind of like going to the gym but not lifting the weights. You need to put in the work.

In the past months, I've been able to identify my absolute favorite teachers on the platform and also watch their live sessions which is another pro. These are included in the price and are excellent for those who prefer this kind of in-person or live instructions. It's really nice, you can chat there with people and share your thoughts. It gives this kind of community feeling.

Additionally, there's the ability to easily schedule one-on-one sessions with coaches. This is not included in the price though, and I have to admit I haven't tried it yet myself, but it's great to know that if I ever feel like I need or want something like this it's very easily accessible.

VALUE & PRICE - WORTH IT? (DAYS 121-180)

The top benefits for me so far are clearly reduced stress and anxiety levels. I feel very guided kind of in my journey and not helpless or alone. I feel like Aura has given me so much more than just a calm mind after a stressful day. It has given me a lot of self-confidence, and greater understanding of myself. But what does the Aura meditation app cost?

To know if Aura is worth it for you depends fully on how much you value your own mental well-being. Like to me, Aura has brought peace that its value is so much greater than the annual price which is currently $59.90. Moreover, if you use any of the buttons on this page, you also get a 7-day free trial and a 25% discount from the annual plan. With that discount, it's only $3.75 a month. Think of it like choosing a piece of mind or alternatively one bag of chips. Pretty easy choice, right? So even with all these cons, for me at least, it's a complete no-brainer.

THE BEST WAY TO USE AURA

  1. Use app filters for efficiency: Duration, guide gender, topic, and guidance level.

  2. Subscribe to your favorite teachers for more recommended content and easy access to them.

  3. For beginners, start small; three minutes a day can be just enough.

  4. Apply what you learn. It's like reading a book and then actually using the knowledge you gain. So, whether it's a breathing technique or an affirmation, make an effort to integrate these practices into your everyday routines.

SURPRISE GIFT & FINAL THOUGHTS

In wrapping it up, after six months with the Aura Health app, I can confidently say it's been a game-changer. Reduced stress, self-confidence, and valuable insights—this app goes beyond relaxation.

In part one of this post, I mentioned that I have something exciting for you, so here it comes. I have consumed so much content this past six months on this app, so I thought I to choose the top coaches, and create three different challenges or playlists so you can easily get started with the app.

And I have to admit, it took some time to make these lists as well. So these are free for now but I cannot promise if you are reading this in the future if they are still free. You can find the Aura Challenges here.

So click the button below and start the free trial because you don't have anything to lose to try it out. It's low risk but possibly very high reward to build a more peaceful life.

Thank you so much for reading until here. Remember to stay kind and meaningful in your own beautiful journey. See you in the next one!
